PEANUT STORY (MATTHEW 19:3-5)

A person went to visit an elderly lady in hospital. this old lady had a bowl of peanuts sitting by the her bed and the friend slowly but surely worked her away through the peanuts.

As they got to leave, she said to the lady, I'm really sorry I've eaten your entire bowl of peanuts. how selfish of me.

Don't worry replied the old lady, i dislike peanuts. my husband came in yesterday and bought me a bag of chocolate-coated peanuts.

i love chocolate' so i just sucked off the chocolate and when i hit the peanut i spat it out into the bowl. thank you for finishing it them for me.

RELATIONSHIP

There is a popular saying of mine "Beauty will attract a man but character sustain the man"
All relationship goes through a series of phases. they start with an illusion.we see something attractive in someone else.that's the chocolate! we are drawn to one another person thinking that the relationship will really workout well for us.

("The number one base for relationship is attraction")

The second phase is reality.we begin to discover a human being with all their frailties, weakness and realize they are nit as wonderful as we thought. the realities become so clear that,we will begin to understand and that as attractive as we find them base on our personal satisfaction so also might be the rate of their stinking character.
(There is no perfect relationship;we make it become what we want)

The third phase is disillusion. that's the point of which we spit out the peanut.most time we end up walking out of a relationship because we never defined, what we wanted before we went into it.

("Life is a long distance race not an hundred meter huddle")

The world is full of spat out people. and we are all guilty of spitting!!!
Everyone reading this has at some times in their lives broken a relationship because it didn't work out the way they wanted it to. we forget the fact that the reason why we are human and not spirit is because we have weakness.and for that weakness to received strength;it must be attached to someone whose strength is your weakness.
All of us have felt have felt what is it like to be spat out by another person.of course 'spat' sounds a bit harsh, but in reality, that's what it is.we felt discarded, thrown away and hurt because a relationship didn't work out. the overall experience is one of rejection.
When it happens to the young, the effect are often deeper and long lasting.
Newspaper are full of account of broken relationship at international, community and personal level. open almost any page of newspaper and it will talk to you about broken relationship.

(For every human broken relationship;there is pain)
